The Ministry of The Word...
Is comprised of these six commands of Jesus, Himself:
you, yourself, travel, taking the Gospel to the entire world
Jesus made it clear when He gave the great commission that it is your job and your responsibility to tell the world about Him. The Greek word Jesus used, “poreuomai,” means that you and you alone are responsible for sharing the gospel of good news with everyone. Every follower of Jesus, every believer, and every Christian has been given this command.
Here at Impact, it is our goal to equip every believer to carry out this task. “As you go…” means just that—share Jesus with everyone “as you go!”
to become a student, pupil, disciple
Jesus’ Great Commission mandates spreading the Gospel and “making disciples,” mirroring His own three-year intensive discipleship of His followers. This involved teaching, demonstrating, and equipping them for Christian living and ministry.
Many churches have neglected this crucial aspect of discipleship, leaving countless Christians without a proper spiritual foundation. Therefore, our core goal is to prioritize and actively engage in discipleship, recognizing it as a fundamental responsibility for all believers. This focus aims to effectively impact lives through intentional disciple-making.
doctrine, instruction, teaching
As followers of Jesus, it is absolutely essential that we know what the Bible teaches.
Doctrine is the teachings of Holy Scripture, the teachings of Jesus. Jesus said in Matthew 28:20 - “teaching them everything I taught you.”
At Impact we teach that every Christian should know:
1) The absolute authority of The Word of God
2) The Virgin Birth
3) The Deity of Jesus Christ, Jesus is fully God
4) The Trinity of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
5) The salvation of Man
6) The return of Jesus
7) The reality of a judgment (Heaven or Hell)
social relationships - fellowship with other believers
Fellowship at Impact Fellowship is the vibrant heart of our community. We gather to deepen our connection with God through worship, Bible study, and prayer, and to strengthen our bonds with each other. It’s a space where we share meals, enjoy casual gatherings, and even friendly sports, building lasting relationships and finding joy together.
Wherever God’s people come together, we experience encouragement, joy, and unwavering support. Fellowship is a core principle at Impact Fellowship, the lifeblood of our community, where we find belonging, purpose, and the strength to live out our faith together.
At Impact Fellowship, after a person receives Jesus Christ as his or her Lord, God, and Savior, we strongly encourage each new believer to follow Jesus’ command to be baptized. We practice full immersion.
Baptism does not bring salvation. Rather, it is an act of obedience and a public declaration to the world that we are unashamed and fully committed to following Jesus.
to watch over, to guard, Shepherd - accountability
In John 10:11, Jesus declares, ‘I Am the Good Shepherd,’ echoing the divine ‘I Am’ and identifying Himself as Yahweh. This powerful statement highlights our relationship with Him: He is our Shepherd, and we are His sheep. As sheep, we are prone to straying, confusion, and fear, needing guidance. This vulnerability emphasizes our need for a caring Shepherd.
At Impact, discipleship embodies this shepherding role. We aim to support and nurture believers, keeping them healthy in their faith, just as Jesus, our good Shepherd, does. We strive to guide them, ensuring they stay connected to Him and grow spiritually.
